College of Anesthesiologists of East, Central and Southern Africa (CANECSA): The college aims to develop a uniform training program in anesthesia, critical care and pain medicine across the region and maintain the highest standards of practice for the safety of the patients through training (education programs), Service (Quality Patient Care), Examinations and Research. The college has developed a decentralized training programme with a common examination and an internationally recognized Anaesthesia and Critical Care qualification at Membership and Fellowship levels

The East Central and Southern Africa College of Family Physicians was established in 2024, through resolution ECSA/HMC73/R1.
The founding objectives for which the College will be established are:
- To promote and advance the discipline of Family Medicine in the ECSA region.
- To train and assess medical doctors in the discipline of Family Medicine
throughout the region. - To organize and conduct postgraduate education and training of FPs, set
standards and facilitate the highest level of skills, culturally responsive
attitudes, compassionate and efficient care.

The Mission of the College is to promote lifelong learning and career development so that specialist public health physicians can organize and deliver the best public health services for all people.
